EXECUTION
While a lot of my career has led to creating plans for others to follow, writing strategy and setting up businesses for success through collaborations, partnerships and internal organization, I also have spent a lot of time on the execution side of strategy.
In order to implement better practices internally, I created copywriting and freelancing guides for employees at SVRN, ensuring whoever works there in the future will have the proper tools to set them up for success.
During my time creating SVRN’s 10 year strategy, I also was one of the main individuals to present the deck and discuss with our brand vendors who were setting out to decide our future allocations and expansion opportunities. Not only was I able to create the content needed for these meetings, I was a key player in getting the messaging across in person.
Every brand partnership and event that I planned, I was there to execute them from ideation to finish. This means I was on the floor when displays were being built, I was communicating with vendors and sponsors and helping set up and manage the individuals working the events. I believe it is key to see ideas out from start to finish, and I always made sure I was present for the actual partnerships and events themselves.
In order to improve organization within the company and help it grow internally, I implemented an Editorial Calendar. This calendar was color coded with different colors for each department of the company. All meetings were scheduled here and everyone’s availability was visible. This helped immensely as the company grew and helped the entire team with transparency and organization.
I also managed our E-commerce platform, where we received a majority of our sales. Not only did I write the copy for products on our website and marketing copy for ads, I additionally made sure products were live on the proper release dates, products were tagged correctly, that our web pages looked cohesive visually and checked if images needed edits or reshooting before uploading them to the site. This was all essential in making sure our e-commerce platform lived up to the standards we had implemented in our identity. I communicated with the e-commerce and stock teams, guiding them in what product we needed shot, sent to creative and found for inventory purposes.
